Barcelona were hoping for a comeback against Real Madrid in the second leg of their Spanish Super Cup tie but ended up falling to a 2-0 second-leg defeat to loose 5-1 on aggregate against Real Madrid.
The pre match discussions centered around Cristiano Ronaldo’s 1st leg red card, which resulted in a five-match ban for the Portuguese star but his absence didn’t stop the European champions from exposing and dominating their fierce rivals.
The loss further heaps more pressure on Barcelona to urgently find a replacement for Neymar whom they lost to PSG in a world record €222 million deal.
